Emergencies and After-Hours Crisis Response
The Student Health Center is not an emergency facility.
In a life- or limb-threatening emergency, dial 911 to reach Tuscaloosa Emergency Medical Services, or go to the DCH Emergency Department.
The Student Health Center is closed on The University of Alabama holidays and hours of operation are sometimes altered. These adjusted hours are posted on the website and on signs throughout the SHC building.
DCH Regional Medical Center is located on University Boulevard, only two miles from the center of campus. When a student receives care at DCH, the staff at DCH often works closely with the SHC staff to insure that the student receives appropriate care.
For urgent mental health concerns when SHC is closed
